under David Nixon, Northern Ballet Theatre has seen
an increase in ticket sales and acclaim from both
audiences and critics. For the third year in a row
the company has won the Audience Award - the only
award voted for by the public - at the prestigious
Critics Circle National Dance awards.
In recent years, David Nixon has produced a wide
range of new productions, which have included Peter
Pan, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Dracula as well
as more traditional ballet titles like Swan Lake.

shoes each year? Every shoe is carefully crafted to
precisely fit each individual dancer. Your support with
this appeal can literally make it possible for our dancers
to step out on stage.

Dance in the Community NBT's
Learning and Access programme reaches thousands of school
children that have been inspired by dance. Working with
communities we use dance, design, and live music to inspire
creativity, improve health, build confidence and bring
people together.

Yorkshire Young Dancers The
Yorkshire Young Dancer Centre provides Advanced Training
between the ages of 10 & 16 years, for young people
who have exceptional potential in classical dance. Through
offering a unique intensive training programme the course
enables young people to achieve their potential as classical
dancers.
