Amongst other things we offer the following benefits to our sponsors :-

Added profile through branding on our publicity material throughout the UK (in 2005 we tour to 18 cities over 25 weeks producing approx 700 posters, 21,000 flyers and up to 10,000 direct mail letters per venue/week and produce a biannual programme with a yearly readership of approximately 90,000 people).

Organised events to attend our performances and entertain your key corporate guests at a venue(s) of your choice.

Helping any corporate social responsibility programme through our Learning & Access Department.

Memorable sponsorship to put your company in our audience's mind throughout the year at a fraction of the price of other mediums such as TV advertising.

The Manchester Airport Group

The Manchester Airports Group Plc (MAG) is the second largest airport operator in the UK and comprises the airports of Manchester, Nottingham East Midlands, Bournemouth and Humberside.

Each year MAG devotes 1% of its pre-tax profits to sponsorship of the arts, covering community access, theatre, music and education, as well as prestigious major entertainment events.

MAG is keen to reinforce its cultural commitment both to areas where it has a presence and more widely in the UK, since it believes that a vibrant cultural scene in the cities it servies is a key ingredient in the success of its business. The NBT national tour fulfilled these criteria, and in 2005 MAG sponsored NBT’s London Season, as well as supporting one evening during the Nottingham, Salford and Hull seasons. Receiving branding for months before the season took place, MAG leveraged their sponsorship in London by producing eye-catching banners for outside Sadler’s Wells. They used their association with NBT to entertain high profile media contacts..

NBT is very proud to be the second biggest sponsorship in MAG’s portfolio of arts sponsorship.

We are delighted with the profile that the NBT affords us and I am please to say "that Northern Ballet Theatre meets all our sponsorship expectations."

Barclays

As Hull Season Sponsor 2004, the Barclays logo was prominently placed on all our publicity material for the whole five-day run including approximately 700 posters, 21,000 flyers and 10,000 direct mail letters. Barclays were also credited in all our press releases and on the associated education work.

We held several events at the theatre allowing Barclays guests to attend a performance of Swan Lake and hear from our artistic staff beforehand to help their enjoyment of the production.

“Every one of us thoroughly enjoyed the performance and the first class treatment we received. We all felt so looked after by everyone and the ballet, which was a first for many of us, was excellent. Please pass on our thanks to everyone who made our night out so special”
Barclays guests from the Westcliff Drop-In Centre

“I have to admit I was unsure whether I would enjoy it, being a bit of a novice on the ballet front. In the event I thought it was excellent; I really, genuinely enjoyed it. From a Barclays point of view, congratulations on a nice, well-organised event.”
David Bagley FCA, Corporate Director Barclays North East & Yorkshire Corporate Banking

Barclays also supported an education project successfully working towards integrating Asylum Seekers and Refugees with the general community.

Overall, Janette Blythe, Community Affairs Manager for Barclays said :

“We have formed a perfect partnership…to strengthen diverse links within the Hull community. Thank you to Northern Ballet Theatre for their professionalism and enthusiasm in helping us to make this happen.”
